Mason Green • They/Them
Tattoo artist, illustrator, maker and graphic designer Mason Green AKA Quiet Canary (formerly Abracazebra) has lived in Halifax since 2005. They attended NSCC from 2008 - 2011, earning 2 diplomas in Graphic Design and Graphic & Print Production. Mason has won and been nominated for many awards over the years for their graphic design work in the music industry, including winning an ECMA in 2019 for Graphic/Media artist of the year.
They hand-poke tattoo out of their privately owned tattoo studio, Unit 6, in the north end of Halifax, Nova scotia.
Mason has worn many hats within the realms of print, marketing and design over the years but wouldn’t trade their current balance of working predominately as a tattoo artist and illustrator with a healthy dose of graphic design for the world. Their favourite part about tattooing is the quite intimate nature of hand-poking and the chance to get to know their wonderful clients.
Mason is the proud co-parent of 3 cats, and 6 lizards. They also really love chocolate, reading and the desert.
